Set Up Busy Mode
Busy Mode helps you manage peak hours by temporarily extending preparation times or limiting order flow. This ensures your staff can maintain consistent service quality, even when the café or restaurant gets unexpectedly crowded.
Before You Begin
To access Busy Mode, open TechSuite portal and go to Manage Availability for your chosen branch. On the left side of the page, you’ll see “Busy Now” toggle. Toggling this on opens the Setup Busy Mode panel.
How Busy Mode Works
After activating Busy Mode, choose how long it should stay active (e.g., 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour). During this window:
- Prep Times automatically extend to inform customers that orders may take longer.
- Staff Workload is balanced because the system factors in added wait time before accepting new orders.
- Manual Shutdown is possible, turn Busy Mode off at any time if you recover sooner than expected.
When the selected busy period ends, Busy Mode turns off automatically and general preparation times return to normal.
